Cheeky burst onto the scene as part of The Krazy Gang in the wonderfully wacky Krazy Comic, which tickled funny bones from 1976 to 1978. But this grinning gag-merchant didn’t stay in the background for long—by 1977, he’d earned his very own title: Cheeky Weekly! It ran for 117 issues, full to bursting with pun-packed panels and side-splitting silliness. The heart of the comic followed Cheeky’s week, as he strolled to school each day, making wise cracks and crossing paths with his ever-growing gang of eccentric chums. Some of those pals might raise a few modern eyebrows—but back in ’77, we were too busy laughing to notice (and let’s be honest, many of us still are!). All this madness came courtesy of the brilliant Frank McDiarmid, whose pen brought Cheeky and crew to life in all their bonkers brilliance. On this page, you can download artwork of Cheeky and his pals. Each zip file includes a high-quality 300 DPI colour PNG, a crisp black-and-white PNG, and a handy SVG vector file.
