Meet Mr Hunch - he has a humped back, a winning smile, and absolutely no business challenging royalty. But when the King locks Esmerelda in his tallest tower, hoping she’ll fall for his riches and shiny ceremonial breastplate, Mr Hunch is not having any of it.
Now, with arrows flying and guards scrambling, Mr Hunch scrambles up the battlements, risking life, limb, and dignity—all in the name of love. One man. One hump. One wildly misplaced sense of optimism. Will love conquer archers, aesthetics, and aristocracy? The fate of romance rests on one very iffy vertebra. A remake of my game "The Hunch", which itself was an expanded remake of the arcade game "Hunchback". Re-written from the ground upremoving the 'cross-hatch' pixel style used before, enhanced graphics, controller support, switchable scanlines and a save point after the first set of levels. |

Roderick Hero, at your service. Please, call me R. Hero. Everyone does. I wish to address myself to fledgling Heroes and all-round good guys everywhere. A crisis is afoot, affording me an ideal opportunity to share a few of the finer points of heroic endeavor with you. Do pay attention.
Volcanic activity has trapped miners in mineshafts in Mount Leone. І shall use equipment (some think it rather nifty) of my own invention to help miners no mere mortal can reach. It would give me great pleasure to have your help. H.E.R.O. first appeared on the Atari 2600 way back in 1984. Written by John Van Ryzin it was considered one of the best games on that machine. |

Space Invaders was a classic. The Atari 2600 version of Space Invaders was a classic in itself . Not arcade-perfect due to the limitations of the machine, but great in it's own right, due mainly to the many game variations on offer.
This remake of the 2600 version includes all variations from the original - moving shelters, zig-zagging bullets, invisible invaders and two player co-op - and adds more. Eight different graphic styles are yours to try, such as a perfect recreation of the original, a homage to the arcade version, ZX Spectrum style and pen-and-paper among others. |
Having been very well received in Atari social media groups this version is now available here. If you've not played the VCS version before it's a must have. If you 're a 2600 veteran this will be the perfect stroll down memory lane.

My first remake of the ZX Spectrum game by Bob Hamilton. It's a bit rough round the edges, but quite a fun game in the end!

The classic Spectrum game on the Amiga. Shoot the ingredients into the bowl, avoid the nasties... You know how this goes!

Home Computer Weekly never exactly screamed excitement when lined up against the likes of Crash or Sinclair User, but it did feature lots of listings for us at home to spend hours typing into out computers, another hour sorting out the errors, then five minutes fiddling with before we switched it all off and went back to "Jet Set Willy". One such program was my first foray into coding - a music program I wrote for the ZX Spectrum. Laughable really as I don't have a musical bone in my body and the ol' Speccy with it's one-channel beeper wasn't exactly the Royal Philharmonic. Anyway, here it is in all it's glory should you feel the need to relive those halcyon days of hammering away at your Spectrum's rubber keyboard for, let's face it, pretty poor results.
