SPECTRUM REMAKES PAGE 2
Picture
The Acme Interstellar Transport Company has a simple goal: scatter flat‑pack starships across the Galaxy and hope someone brave assembles them. That someone is you — test pilot, courier, and part‑time rocket mechanic.
Every planet is a payday. Gems, rare elements, gold… your Jet Pac grabs valuables and rocket parts with ease. Load up, return to your launch site, blast off.
There’s just one catch: you need six fuel pods before you can leave. Luckily, your Hydrovac Jet Pac can lift rocket stages, fuel pods, and treasure with precision. And if the locals get grumpy, the Quad Photon Laser Phaser keeps them in line.

This remake of the classic ZX Spectrum game includes a range of options:
• Three switchable graphic styles: original ZX Spectrum, limitless‑colour Spectrum, and new HD graphics
• Choose static platforms (as in the original) or have them randomly re‑arranged each rocket build
• Toggle whether fuel pods can be shot — adding a little danger to your trigger finger
• Lunar Jetman missile launcher mode: finish the level before the homing missile launches, and watch out for those nasty little shooty things
• Swap out the classic aliens for enemies from Ultimate’s other games of the era, Cookie and Pssst

Sheikh Abdul Al Kohol, the unhinged ruler of El Khazi, keeps a fleet of absurdly fancy cars scattered around his palace. Mick the Mechanic — the Sheikh’s imported scouse grease‑monkey — has finally had enough. Paid in sheep’s eyeballs (proper grim) and sick of the job, he’s decided to nick the Sheikh’s beloved motors and scarper. But first he has to top up their oil, because the tight‑fisted Sheikh never does. Oil is everywhere in El Khazi, but the cars are guarded by fanatical, scimitar‑happy bodyguards who’ll happily chop you in half for getting too close. To avoid suspicion, Mick must look busy: hauling tools, acting innocent, and secretly pouring oil down the grid that feeds the cars. Spill any and it becomes a deadly slick that sends Mick — or a passing guard — sliding to a spectacular doom.
Tools appear on shelves now and then. Returning them earns Mick a tidy bonus, but the guards get absurdly stroppy about misplaced kit, and soon you’ll hear the ominous flap‑flap of approaching sandals

Automania was one of the first Spectrum remakes I created for PC, and much like "The Hunch", it originally used a rather questionable graphic style I’m no longer happy with. So I rebuilt the whole thing from scratch. The new version adds full controller support, lets you switch between full‑colour and classic Spectrum palettes, and includes optional CRT‑style scanlines. Decorative borders — also optional — can fill the widescreen area, and you can now play in either full‑screen or windowed mode. As with my original remake, there’s also an added bonus level tucked in at the end.

Guide Wally through a cluttered garage full of wobbling gangplanks, bouncing tyres, and precariously stacked junk. Your job is simple — fetch six parts for each car, take them to the workshop, and assemble the vehicles without falling off anything, dropping anything, or being knocked over by anything. Build the full fleet and you might possibly even get paid!

Rex, the thick-skinned mercenary, is here to do a job.  He's come to Zenith to do away with the humans that have built their fortunes around the Great Tower.
This is a Windows remake of one of the best ever ZX Spectrum games, originally created by The Light and published by Martech in 1988.

So much violence in the world of herding!
Across the windswept fields of Woolshire sits Sheepdog Farm, ruled with military precision by Sergeant Barker. Every sheep counted, every gate locked — at least in theory.
Lurking beyond the hedgerows is Reynard, a fox with charm, nimble paws, and the moral compass of a sat‑nav yelling “make a U‑turn” at every decision. He’s discovered that plump, fluffy, catastrophically gullible sheep fetch an excellent price at market.
Armed with a battered lorry and zero respect for authority, he darts in, scoops up sheep who assume it’s a spa day, and makes a run for it. Barker, long overdue a day off, patrols with grim dedication, ready to drop on Reynard from any direction.
If the fox can outwit the sheepdog, fill his lorry, and roar off before the whistle blows, he might just fund the glamorous lifestyle he’s convinced he deserves.

Deep beneath Egypt’s sands, adventurer Fred plunges into ancient pyramids in search of treasure. Each tomb is a twisting maze, growing harsher the deeper he goes—more monsters, faster and deadlier.
Rats scurry through corridors, demanding perfect timing. Acid Drops—leftovers of old alchemists—fall with lethal accuracy. Ghosts drift through walls, shifting direction when disturbed. Chameleons guard ropes, swapping sides without warning. Mummies tumble through shafts and teleport on landing. Vampires streak through passages, and Skeletons pursue Fred until stopped.
Treasures glitter throughout the maze, ready to boost Fred’s fortune, while maps reveal his location. Six perilous catacombs await, each tougher than the last. Survive them all to loop back or reshape the maze entirely.
Display options include full colour or classic Spectrum tones, optional scanlines, and fullscreen or windowed play.

A remake of the original game by Quicksilva inspired by the story by Raymond Briggs. Your task is to build and protect a Snowman through four stages. First, collect six snow pieces to bild the Snowman while dodging gas flames. Ice Lollies freeze them briefly and add bonus points. Flashing Christmas items boost your score, while festive food restores energy. On the next two stages, gather the Snowman’s accessories—scarf, smile, trousers, torch—while avoiding Sleep Monsters, neutralized by Alarm Clocks. In the final stage those flames are back. Collect Ice Cubes to keep your Snowman from melting. Complete all four stages to unlock a new layout and continue the challenge.
Play with improved, colourful graphics and festive music or with original Spectrum graphics and sound.

The ultimate ZX Spectrum game on Windows PC. Play all twenty original caverns from the Spectrum version or select to play the twenty brand new ones - or mix it up a bit and let the game decide what screens you're going to play! You can even play with subdued lighting, darkening the caverns and using the light from Willy's hard hat.

Collect the keys and avoid the nasties. When you have all the keys, you can enter the portal which will then be flashing. The game ends when you have been 'got' or fallen heavily three times.

Another 8-Bit classic comes flying onto your PC featuring all screens from the original Spectrum version, updated graphics, a Spectrum graphics mode and a special "Chuckie in the dark" mode. A lot of care has been taken to make the gameplay as close to the original as possible.  If that wasn't enough there are two brand new screen layouts for Henhouse Harry to negotiate. So, eyes on the prize and get collecting those eggs!
